Terms of use
Last updated 8 June 2026
These terms govern your use of the LGBT Accountants website (lgbtaccountants.co.uk) and its content. By using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. The site is operated by Carr Accounting Studio (company no. 14573122) ("we", "us").
General information, not advice
The information on this website provides general information only. It is not tax, accounting, legal or financial advice, and must not be relied on as such. The content may not reflect your actual position, your full circumstances, or the current law, and tax rules change over time.
You should not act, or refrain from acting, on anything from this site without taking professional advice on your own specific circumstances. Any decision you make based on the site is your own responsibility.
Who the site is for
The site is intended for people operating businesses in the United Kingdom. It is not intended for use in any other jurisdiction.
The site is intended for business users, company directors, founders and people considering business-related tax issues. It is not designed for personal consumer tax planning.
No client relationship
Using this website or its tools does not create an accountant–client relationship between you and Carr Accounting Studio. If you choose to engage the firm, that is a separate relationship set out in a separate engagement letter and terms of business. Those engagement terms — not these website terms — govern any work the firm carries out for you, and they will prevail for that work.
What the site does not do
The site does not file anything with HMRC or Companies House, does not register you for taxes, and does not monitor your deadlines unless we have expressly agreed that in a signed client engagement.
We do not guarantee any tax saving, refund, relief, penalty reduction, or particular outcome.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for making sure any information you enter is accurate, complete and up to date. We are not responsible for inaccurate outputs caused by incomplete, incorrect or outdated information entered by you.
You must not present any output from the site as professional advice from Carr Accounting Studio, or as a formal tax calculation, report, opinion or recommendation.
Accuracy and availability
We aim to keep the site accurate and up to date, but we give no warranty that it is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose. The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or withdraw all or part of the site at any time without notice, and we do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website, its content, and its tools. This includes liability for loss of profit, business interruption, tax liabilities, interest, penalties, loss of opportunity, and indirect or consequential loss.
If, despite the above, we are found liable to you in connection with this website, our total liability will be limited to the lower of (a) the fees, if any, you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, and (b) £100.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Intellectual property
The content, design, and branding of this site are owned by or licensed to Carr Accounting Studio. You may view and use the site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may share links to the site, but you must not copy, scrape, reproduce, sell, or commercially exploit the content or tools without our written permission.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the site lawfully and not to misuse it — including not attempting to gain unauthorised access to it, disrupt it, introduce malicious code, or use it in any way that could damage or impair it or anyone else's use of it.
Links to other sites
The site may link to third-party websites and services (for example a booking calendar). We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of those sites, and a link does not imply our endorsement of them.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.
